[S3-Q1] Full-Time MBA only: grammar/clarity editing permitted, substance generation/rewriting restricted

Authenticity is essential in your application essays. While AI can assist in refining essays, applicants must ensure their final work represents their originality and creativity. Applicants may use tools to edit and proof their essays for grammar, spelling, and clarity, but the content, ideas, and writing style must be their own. AI should not generate, rewrite, or significantly alter the essay’s substance. The admissions team values genuine, personal reflections that showcase each applicant’s unique voice.

Students found to have falsified application information will be subject to penalties up to and including denial of admission, withdrawal of an admission offer, registration cancellation, expulsion or revocation of a University of California degree.

以下为整理者所写的高中适用要点,非该校原文,不作为任何条款的依据。Below: the collector’s notes on application to high school — not the university’s text, and not used as evidence for any provision.

High-school adaptation takeaways

  • Distinguish approved school AI platforms from consumer accounts.
  • Students must acknowledge AI-generated material and cannot present it as their own.
  • Require review, editing, fact-checking, and citation when AI use is permitted.
  • Keep FERPA-like student records, health information, unpublished research, and intellectual property out of unapproved systems.
